Chengdu, 15 May 2026 — AANEE formalised two strategic partnerships at the official celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Victoria–Sichuan sister state–province relationship in Chengdu. The event brought together government, education, health, cultural and industry leaders from both sides and featured the signing of nine bilateral agreements between Victorian and Sichuan organisations. Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria, and Mr Ren Jingdong, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, attended the ceremony to mark a decade of cooperation across trade, education, culture, health, tourism and sport.

On behalf of AANEE, Founding Chair, Dr Celina Yu, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tianfu New Area Aviation and Tourism Vocational College to advance collaboration in international education, student mobility and industry engagement. The partnership will connect the college with Melbourne’s aviation, hospitality and vocational education sectors, creating new opportunities for students and institutional exchange.

AANEE also signed an agreement on behalf of the Organising Committee of the Melbourne International Music Competition (MIMC) with Chengdu Cantabile Culture Communication Co. Ltd.  The partnership officially authorises the company as the organising committee for the MIMC China division and supports the coordination, promotion and delivery of the competition’s preliminary rounds across China.

AANEE looks forward to advancing these partnerships and contributing to the continued growth of Victoria–Sichuan collaboration and people-to-people exchange.
